Plan in a timely manner to ensure you are renting the best unit size that will contain all your things. Creating a layout plan of your storage unit will help you utilize the unit space and create a walkway to access stored boxes and furnishings easily and quickly.

Label your boxes on all sides and the top and bottom of each box. Make a list with box count and inside content as you pack.

Disassemble furniture and electronics, including tables, bed frames, computers, and stereo systems. Place hardware in a labeled bag and the electronic cords and attachments in a box with labels.

Place plywood, pallets, or other floor support underneath appliances and furnishings inside the unit.
